Lettre de Walter Scott écrite lors du séjour qu'il fit à Paris à la fin de l'année 1826, en compagnie de sa fille Anne, au cours duquel il fit représenter Ivanhoé sur une musique de Rossini, à l'Opéra. «In leaving France I should be very ungrateful not to acceptance your acceptance of my best thanks for so much kind attention as I have received from you. I beg you will believe me [...]». Cette lettre a été publiée en 1840 dans le bulletin de la Société des sciences et lettres de Blois.
